A host of familiar faces returned to Kwinana’s 2nd Grade team as they kicked off the first two-day game of the season while 4th Grade and One-Day Cs struggled to find momentum.
2nd Grade was sent into bat by Armadale in their first home game of the season.
After losing an early wicket Geoff Perera (88) and Bart Pratt (40) steadied and took control putting on 101 runs for the second wicket.
The middle and latter order put together steady partnerships to see Kwinana end day one all out for 206.
4th Grade was also asked to bat first by Cockburn at Goodchild Reserve in their first two-day game.
A slow start saw a clump of wickets put Kwinana in trouble at 4-31 before Paul Silchinger brought some control to the innings making 58.
Despite Silchinger’s control, Kwinana struggled to get going; eventually bowled out for 133 with plenty of work to next week.

One-day Cs did well with the ball restricting Kardinya Lakes to 5-130 in their first home game.
Fida Hussain claimed 2-19.
Hussain then stared with the bat making 32 including six fours.
Unfortunately, he had no support around him as Kwinana were bowled out for 62.
