Batting collapses plagued Kwinana throughout the grades on a rough day of cricket.
2nd Grade remained at home this week taking on fifth-placed Cockburn.
Kwinana lost the toss and was asked to bat first.
They made a steady start, but a lack of partnerships saw them struggling at 7-119 despite a boundary-filled 48 from Thomas Moore.
The lower order offered some resistance and pushed the score to 140.
Kwinana took to the field to end the day and claimed three quick scalps to give themselves a chance with Cockburn sitting on 3-40.
4th Grade also batted first against Cockburn at Goodchild Reserve.
Jon Cribbs (35) and David Abbott (22) put on 48 for the first wicket before losing 9-57 to be all out for 105.
Cockburn is 0-56 in reply.
One-Day Bs continued their horror season against top placed Piara Waters.
After choosing to bat first Kwinana was in trouble early before the middle order was able to recover the innings thanks to 22 from Scott Benjamin and post 9-111.
Piara Waters openers went hard early and chased Kwinana’s total down within 15 overs.
Kieren Mellacheruvu (5-38) claimed his first five-wicket haul for Kwinana.
Without pressure, Piara Waters posted 8-238 to record a crushing victory.
One-Day Gs decided to bowl first against Perth Tamil.
Kwinana’s bowlers worked well together to restrict Perth Tamil to 139.
Josh Elphick took 2-10.
The run chase started well before a collapse of 5-28 saw Kwinana struggle through to 105 all out.
Kody Geere was the only batsmen to reach double figures.
