Kwinana dominates in their 2nd Grade match against Willetton Crows as 4th grade put themselves in a strong position after day one.
After winning the toss Kwinana’s 2nd Grade set about dismantling the Willetton batting line up.
They needed just two bowlers as both Andrew Gibbs and Daniel Bell bowled 15 overs.
Bell claimed 6-29 with Gibbs taking 4-34 to bowl Willetton out for 63.
Kwinana passed the score with little trouble before losing 2-0 to end the day at 3-97.
Joshua Atkinson made 34.
Dion Cole-Parkhill leads the way as 4th grade batted first against Willetton Crows at Burrendah Park.
Cole-Parkhill hit an unbeaten 70 batting at three after Kwinana lost an early wicket.
His innings included seven fours, complementing Jon Cribbs (46) and Luke Ward (36) to push the final total to 199.
Kwinana set about defending and ended day one with Willetton on 0-20 requiring a further 180 for victory.
One-Day Bs travelled to Hume Road Oval to play Thornlie.
Kwinana batted first and collapsed almost instantly.
Anil Sah put up the only resistance making 33 as Kwinana were rolled for 75.
A lack of scoreboard pressure made it difficult for Kwinana to halt Thornlie as they finished the match on 6-211.
A triple wicket maiden from Aaron Kirby (3-25) was the only highlight for Kwinana.
One-Day Gs resume next week against Maddington at Sutherlands Park after this week’s bye.
