Kwinana’s 2nd-grade side returned to winning ways against Willetton in a positive week of results.

2nd grade bowled first against Willetton Crows away from home and started slowly before taking 5-18 thanks to Matthew Parnham’s 4-16 tohave Willetton 5-70.

The tail put together some resistance to push the total to 9-140.

Kwinana’s top order wobbled, but the middle order steadied around Brett Kearney (45) and chased down the score, finishing the match on 8-159.

4th Grade also bowled first against Willetton Crows at home.

They took regular wickets to restrict the total 6-163.

Rob Taylor claimed 2-15.

Kwinana’s openers got off to a flyer with a 72 run partnership as Paul Silchinger batted through the innings for 71n.o, leading Kwinana to victory and a total of 7-195.

One-Day Bs had a horror day against Thornlie at home.

After winning the toss and batting, Kwinana was bundled outfor 77 before the bowlers were pumped for 8-269 to record a demoralising defeat.

One-Day Gs batted first against Perth Tamil at Queens Park Oval.

The openers made a good start with David Stewart making 33.

The middle order put together good partnerships before late order hitting pushed the final total to 168.

Kwinana’s bowlers started well and took regular wickets to stifle Perth’s run chase and bowl them out for 142.

Marcus Draper took 3-26.

Kwinana’s second fifteen over league game in Formula 15 went down to the wire against Leeming Spartan.

Kwinana put Leeming into bat and struggled to take wickets early before Jon Cribbs claimed 3-12 to holt the momentum and restrict Leeming to 7-104.

Kwinana lost an early wicket but put together regular partnerships before a series of run-outs saw them flailing.

Captain Thomas Moore smashed 33 before falling with the score on 99.

Mark James hit a boundary and a single to level the scores before running out of deliveries to see the match tied at 104.
